Xylem is seeking a Director of Manufacturing in Yellow Springs, Ohio. The role leads production, materials and maintenance teams, directing long-range plans, CAPEX, cost improvements and staffing to meet schedules and quality targets.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 7–10 years in manufacturing with supervisory experience, plus a focus on continuous improvement and leadership skills to empower teams and drive cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Engineering or related discipline.
• 7-10 years in manufacturing with supervisory/management responsibility.
• Experience in Continuous Improvement; RCCA execution preferred.
• Strong leadership: persistence, adaptability, problem solving, willingness to learn, empower and motivate teams.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and control all manufacturing activities to ensure products are manufactured on schedule.
• Prioritize production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency and materials supply.
• Develop staffing schedules and ensure cross-functional collaboration within the site leadership team.
• Drive productivity and efficiency improvements and foster accountability across functions.
• Maintain strong customer focus and support continuous improvement culture.
