Review module designs and specifications, providing Design for Manufacturing feedback and risk assessments to Apple Product Design based on process capabilities within the supply chain. Plan, propose, and lead Design of Experiments (DOE) activities to generate timely and accurate analyses that inform design, process development, and supply chain decisions. Assess the suitability of fabrication strategies or technologies for specific part designs. Plan validation exercises to demonstrate initial feasibility and manufacturing capability, analyzing results to offer technical recommendations.
Collaborate with suppliers to develop process flow mappings, FMEA, equipment and fixture designs, implementation schedules, and validation activities prior to engineering builds. Establish manufacturing Process Control Plans with suppliers to enable early issue detection and ensure consistent quality. Drive technical and operational project issues related to processes, fixtures, and equipment during the NPI phase to facilitate the delivery of mature manufacturing processes into mass production. Assess supplier readiness for build events and ramp-up, identifying potential risks and providing mitigation recommendations. Lead production process improvements, including robotics and automation, to reduce labor and enhance quality.
Apple offers a competitive total compensation package, including base salary within the range of $122,300 to $184,600, dependent on skills, experience, and location.
