Job summary

Kaiser Aluminum is seeking a Manufacturing Data Visualization Engineer to build near real-time dashboards and decision-support tools for operators, supervisors, and engineers in Newark, OH or Kalamazoo, MI. The role focuses on turning plant data into clear visualizations to improve operational performance and situational awareness.

Working with SQL, MongoDB, Ignition and other Kaiser tools, you will design reusable components, define KPI visualizations, and collaborate with OT/IT and process

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
  • 5+ years of visualization development experience in manufacturing settings.
  • Experience translating plant needs into visual dashboards and KPIs.
  • Proficiency with SQL, time-series data, and data visualization best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain standard dashboards communicating equipment status and process conditions in near real-time.
  • Translate plant operating needs into intuitive visual elements like trends, thresholds, alerts, and health indicators.
  • Collaborate with operations leaders to define visualization patterns and KPI definitions.
  • Develop reusable visualization components and templates for rapid deployment.
