Job summary

West Michigan Janitorial is hiring for a Custodian/Janitor to maintain cleanliness in manufacturing and office environments in West Michigan. The role includes cleaning restrooms, mopping floors, dusting surfaces, and managing supplies.

The position supports an 5:00pm to 9:00pm shift, Monday through Friday, with training provided and a focus on reliable, detailed cleaning across facilities. No prior experience is required.

Qualifications

• Effective communication with manager and staff.
• Ability to walk/stand for prolonged periods.
• Lift up to 25 pounds; use of cleaning equipment.
• Must be able to read and understand safety materials.

Responsibilities

• Dispose of trash and recycling.

Requirements of Custodian/Janitor:

• No Experience, No Problem!
• Effectively communicate with manager and other staff regarding issues and supply needs
• Ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach and lift up to 25 pounds
• Ability to use motorized equipment (vacuum, hand operated floor cleaners)
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and safety related materials
• Must be able to pass a background check

Role of Custodian/Janitor:

• Maintaining the cleanliness of a manufacturing/office environment
• Cleaning, stocking and sanitizing restrooms
• Disposing of trash & recycling
• Mopping & sweeping floors
