Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 2+ years' experience required; familiarity with cost

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing, cost estimating, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated proficiency with cost estimating tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently on simple assignments and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and Prepare Cost Estimates: Independently prepare cost estimates for straightforward manufacturing projects or components.
• Data Collection and Analysis: Gather, analyze, and interpret data such as material costs, labor hours, and vendor quotes.
• Project Support and Ownership: Take ownership of assigned estimating tasks, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
• Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and maintain detailed estimate documentation and supporting records.
• Collaboration and Communication: Interface with internal teams to gather information and clarify requirements.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve estimating processes and tools.
• Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure all estimating activities comply with company policies and DoD regulations.
• Mentoring and Team Support: Provide guidance to junior staff as appropriate.
