Job summary

AFL is seeking an Operations Cost Analyst to support manufacturing performance by maintaining plant cost data, analyzing drivers and translating results into actionable recommendations.

The role involves enterprise costing, planning, control and reporting, strengthening product-cost and inventory data, and providing decision-ready analysis to Plant Controlling, Operations, Supply Chain and Engineering. The position focuses on hands-on analysis within defined accounting and approval authorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related analytical discipline.
• 2+ years of cost accounting or manufacturing finance experience.
• Knowledge of standard costing, inventory valuation, and production economics.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel; Oracle and Power BI preferred.
• Ability to work with detailed operational and financial data and meet deadlines in a matrix organization.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and validate plant cost, inventory and schedules for the monthly close.
• Reconcile outputs to governed financial results and resolve accounting matters with Plant Controller.
• Analyze variances and translate into root causes and actions.
• Support inventory valuation, cycle counts and working capital analytics.
• Provide cost, capacity and margin analysis for decision making.
