Job summary

Thermon is seeking a Cost Analyst in San Marcos, TX to join the Business Group Finance team. You will analyze labor, material, and overhead costs, support productivity projects, and help drive cost reduction initiatives with Plant Managers and Operations Leaders.

The role involves cost reporting, financial analysis, and collaboration across manufacturing, supply chain, and engineering to ensure data-driven decisions and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of FP&A or cost analysis experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft D365.
• Experience with Power BI or other BI tools.
• Strong understanding of operational performance metrics and metric design.

Responsibilities

• Analyze labor, material, and overhead spending trends and actuals.
• Monitor productivity, absorption, efficiency, scrap, yield, and throughput.
• Prepare benchmarking analyses across value streams within facilities.
• Perform variance analysis and identify root causes of cost fluctuations.
• Provide recommendations to improve operational and financial performance.
• Support monthly plant performance reviews with metrics.
