Job summary

Our client in Alsip, IL seeks a Corporate Controller to oversee accounting across two subsidiaries, reporting to the President. The role requires a CPA or CMA and manufacturing experience, with emphasis on GAAP, ERP optimization, and actionable financial insights.

The position is full-time with hybrid work: 4 days onsite and 1 day remote, typical hours 7:30am–4:00pm. Start date ASAP; relocation sponsorship not available; travel minimal.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance required.
• CPA or CMA certification required.
• 5+ years of Controller-level experience required.
• Manufacturing industry experience required.
• Tech-savvy with ERP to automate processes and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead corporate accounting and financial reporting across two subsidiaries.
• Oversee and mentor a six-person accounting team while ensuring quality of work.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash projections, and ongoing analysis of financial performance.
• Maintain strong internal controls, GAAP compliance, audit readiness, and accurate reporting.
• Manage cash, banking relationships, lines of credit, and related financial compliance.
• Coordinate with outside firms on tax matters and compile required financial information.
• Administer and optimize ERP and accounting systems to reduce manual processes.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support leadership decision-making.
• Clearly communicate financial information and recommendations to ownership.
• Drive business planning, operational efficiency initiatives, and financial strategies.
• Conduct financial reviews and due diligence for acquisitions as needed.
