L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer – Controls Engineer in Cincinnati, OH to support critical defense programs ensuring readiness of U.S. Armed Forces. The role focuses on designing, developing, installing, and maintaining equipment to monitor and control production processes.

Essential work includes PLC programming, equipment control systems, and collaboration with vendors. Travel up to 10% and ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 4+ years of related experience, or graduate degree with 2+ years; in lieu of a degree, 8+ years of related experience.

Responsabilités

• Provide technical expertise and support related to manufacturing equipment controls.
• Develop equipment safety and technical specifications.
• PLC programming.
• Identify and fix intermittent equipment controls issues.
• Upgrade legacy equipment.
• Develop interface systems for internal operations.
• Support knowledge base systems and information sharing.
• Backup old and new equipment to a central server.
• Vision system programming.
• Robot troubleshooting and programming.
• Automate processes to save time and reduce costs.
• Review and update operational processes.
• Plan and implement effective systems to boost manufacturing.
• Interface with vendors and prepare Statements of Requirements.
• Prepare capital equipment requests and proposal estimates.
• Travel up to 10%.
