Dept_PhysLoc_OrgGroup is seeking a Controls Engineer to plan, design, and manage projects that optimize manufacturing processes. You will drive improvements to electrical controls, equipment, and workflows to meet product specifications.

The role involves developing control system requirements, creating electrical schematics, reviewing drawings, and coordinating vendors. You will lead projects and support on-site operations across multiple plants.

Qualifications

  • Experience designing control systems and integrating automation equipment.
  • Ability to review electrical drawings and manage CAD files.
  • Hands-on PLC/HMI programming and troubleshooting capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop control system requirement specs with automation engineers.
  • Design electrical schematics and enclosure layouts for equipment.
  • Review and approve electrical drawings in CAD tools.
  • Create BOMs and coordinate vendor quotes and requisitions.
  • Ensure safe and efficient control implementations on the shop floor.
  • Support maintenance with troubleshooting and production issues.
  • Lead internal/external control projects and vendor interactions.
  • Develop test protocols and perform testing.
  • Program PLCs (Allen-Bradley) and HMIs (PanelBuilder32/FactoryTalk).
  • Integrate pneumatic, servo, and CNC controls and related software.
