Job summary

IFG US is seeking an experienced Controller to lead accounting across multiple entities and support strategic finance initiatives. This hands-on role reports to the VP of Finance and focuses on modernizing processes, strengthening internal controls, and mentoring the accounting team.

Qualifications

• Ten or more years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
• At least three years managing accounting personnel.
• Experience in manufacturing, inventory costing a plus.
• Experience overseeing accounting for multiple entities or business units.
• Proficiency with Excel and QuickBooks; ERP systems beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full accounting cycle for multiple entities.
• Direct month-end and year-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Manage general ledger and ensure GAAP compliance.
• Supervise AP, AR, payroll coordination, and fixed assets.
• Maintain inventory valuation and product costing with operations.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and analyze performance and variances.
• Lead annual budgeting and assist with rolling forecasts.
• Monitor profitability, margins, and manufacturing costs with regular reporting.
• Recommend improvements to accounting processes and internal controls.
• Evaluate capital investments and provide financial analysis for decisions.
• Develop and mentor accounting team and drive continuous improvement.
• Assist leadership with special projects and initiatives as needed.
