An established industry player is seeking a Manufacturing Control Specialist to oversee data collection, planning, and scheduling in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role involves creating production schedules, coordinating with various departments, and ensuring the highest standards of efficiency and productivity. THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
• Perform all duties as assigned within the manufacturing control function that focus on data collection, manufacturing planning, and scheduling.
• Create and manage information flow and production schedules to meet planning and delivery requirements for on-time product shipment.
• Develop and communicate recovery plans for production by coordinating with master scheduler, manufacturing, and other relevant functions to contribute to these plans and help with implementation on the production floor.
• Develops and maintains standard hours of manufacturing for base units, options and special circumstances.
• Coordinates with Accounting and Manufacturing to evaluate and publish accurate organization performance, efficiency, utilization and productivity results. Review and report daily, weekly, and monthly production reports and metrics through production control boards and dashboards.
• Systematic creation and release of production orders, project releases, and project closures: managing all key information to create, monitor, and close work orders in a timely fashion.
• Performs capacity planning by developing and maintaining capacity planning tools. (ex. Production process analysis, implementation suggestions, follow through on actions assigned, and collaboration with Master Scheduler to utilize observations).
• Monitor shortages from upcoming orders - will be 2 nd line of sight on next 6 months of projects to make sure all PO’s have been cut and materials are scheduled to arrive to meet production schedule.
• Monitor and guide the indirect material management and all material requests, movements, and auditing of project materials from the warehouse to work center.
• Develop and improve the labor management system. Train others on the use and monitor to ensure labor is collected, analyzed, and reported in a time manner. Assess and measure labor content to set process standards and evaluate variances.
• Develop, translate, write, and edit work instructions and assist in training of work instructions.
• Work closely with Design Engineering for bill of material management to ensure bills of materials are complete, accurate, and available to support production workflow.
• Lead the Lessons Learned activities and reviews to ensure continual improvement activities are identified and implemented.
• Work with Manufacturing Control Manager to design Kaizen process improvement projects and hold stakeholders accountable for actions and delivery dates.
• Trains others to effectively maintain and use planning systems and in the use of SAP.
• Ensure all Manufacturing Control department activities are performed with the highest of standards and ethics.
• Further the goals and positive, professional image of Hyosung HICO by conducting business with other Hyosung HICO divisions, departments, suppliers, etc. in a timely and cooperative manner.
• Know Hyosung HICO’s Quality, Safety and Environmental Policies. Be able to fully discuss the importance of these policies and how they impact work.

THE NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
• Develop, compose and distribute procedures as required.
• Review the staffing levels with Manufacturing Manager and correlate with productivity improvements from Manufacturing Engineering to ensure resources are in place to meet production schedule.
• Interface with Sales and Project Managers, Design Engineering, Purchasing and Manufacturing as required regarding schedule issues and needs.
• Take an active role in continuous improvement.
• Make recommendations and take actions to improve Company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/SPECIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, plus a minimum of 3 years’ experience in operations, planning or materials within manufacturing environment or equivalent education and/or experience.
• Developed knowledge of MRP/ERP system functionality and component interactions.
• Advanced analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills with ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Prior experience working in a Lean Manufacturing environment.
• Developed communication and interpersonal skills.
• Developed organizational and time management skills.
• Working knowledge of computer systems, emphasizing MS Office, relational databases, computer-based planning systems and ERP systems.
• Ability to communicate with others to complete work.
• Ability to analyze data required to develop production plans and schedules.
• Able to maintain relationships with diverse groups including co-workers, suppliers and internal customers.
• Ability to conduct business in a multicultural environment.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize competing projects and workload.
• Ability to use all applicable PPE including but not limited to hard hat, safety toe shoes, safety glasses, and gloves.
