Job description

Columbus is seeking an Infor M3 Cloudsuite Manufacturing Consultant. As an M3 Manufacturing Consultant, you would be responsible for implementing and configuring the manufacturing module of the Infor M3 ERP system for clients. You will provide clients with the implementation of Infor M3 Manufacturing and Product data management modules, lead all phases of the project execution including requirements gathering, design, application configuration, gap analysis, business process testing, user education and business communication. You would also be responsible for ensuring that the system is integrated with other relevant modules within M3.

Note: Direct hire preferred. Will consider subcontractors (benefits not included). Remote opportunity and can be based from any location in the United States. #LI-Remote.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Lead the manufacturing component of the implementation by ushering client subject-matter-experts through system understanding and design decisions.
  • Masterfully facilitate client meetings on the topic of manufacturing to bring group consensus and understanding of the M3 solution.
  • Conduct the training of users on the configuration and processes within the manufacturing area of Infor M3.
  • Lead the information gathering and design process for a client implementation, including developing functional business requirements and solution scope documents.
  • Participate in complete life cycle client-facing implementation projects relating to Infor applications, working as part of an Infor project team.
  • Identify and recommend M3 out of the box MFG features and product data management modules.
  • Provide Infor M3 functional specifications based on business requirements and/or combined functional and technical specifications.
  • Configure a client business solution.
  • Develop and execute test plans and test software configurations.
  • Provide implementation consultancy and application best practice advice.
  • Achieve engagement objectives.
  • Provide regular internal reports on the status of projects.
  • Attend product functionality briefings and training sessions.
Skill Requirements & Experience:
  • 3+ years of experience and training in Infor M3 software business applications.
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing and distribution industries.
  • 3+ years of experience consulting with external customers and building effective relationships.
  • Experience with full life cycle implementation; specifically implementing manufacturing and product data management modules.
  • Knowledge in Infor PLM (Optiva), designed for manufacturers in the food, beverage, chemicals and life science industries would be an added benefit.
  • College degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working in a multi-user/multi-client environment on different platforms.
  • Knowledge of tools, techniques and good practices for protecting the integrity of corporate data and processing.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines in non-standard hours, weekends/holidays.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize support/maintenance for multiple clients in different environments.
  • Ability to work cohesively in a team environment and act as a knowledge expert.
  • Strong oral and written communication that effectively articulates complex ideas.
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team but also self-motivated.
  • Ability to travel approximately 25%.
