Job summary

Abbott, Scarborough, Maine, seeks a Technical Manufacturing Chemist to produce material for immunology-based chromatography and enzyme tests. You will assist in maintaining the production schedule and perform in-process QC testing under GMP/GLP guidelines.

You will contribute to protocol development and product improvement while collaborating with a cross-functional team in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Life Sciences, or related field or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and supports the production schedule.
• Investigates problem areas and areas of desirable improvement.
• Undertakes new procedures and observes proper safety precautions.
• Responsible for in-process QC testing of manufacturing material and GMP/GLP compliance.
• Maintains quality systems and proper procedures.
• Creates protocols for product improvement.
• Works in a team to coordinate manufacturing efforts with a set production schedule.
