Job summary

Staffmark Group is hiring a Buyer in Compton, CA to plan and purchase materials supporting manufacturing operations. You will manage purchase orders, monitor supplier performance, and resolve shortages to prevent production delays.

The role requires 3–5 years in purchasing and strong ERP experience, with advanced Excel skills and a four-year degree preferred. Competitive pay with benefits and room for growth are offered.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a related field is required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• CSCP, CPSM, or other supply chain certs are a plus.
• Advanced Excel and MS Office skills required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, purchase, and manage materials to support manufacturing operations.
• Analyze production schedules, forecasts, and inventory levels to ensure material availability.
• Create and manage purchase orders; monitor supplier performance and lead times.
• Resolve material shortages and supplier issues to prevent disruptions.
• Prepare RFQs, evaluate quotes, and support vendor negotiations.
• Maintain procurement and supplier records in ERP systems.
• Monitor inventory levels and stock accuracy; manage obsolete material disposition.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Production, and Operations on sourcing and supplier development.
• Identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy and procurement processes.
• Generate reports to support business and production goals.
