Job summary
CST Industries, Inc. in DeKalb, IL is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer - Mechanical / Controls to design, implement, and review procedures and equipment across stamping, lasers, conveyance, and automation.
The engineer will provide technical support to production, introduce processes for new products, and execute capital projects, collaborating with fabrication, glass coating, and assembly teams to optimize manufacturing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering or mechanical engineering.
- 10+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in equipment design.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
- Experience and understanding of MRP systems is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Determine best methods for manufacturing products with maximum efficiency
- Create and edit PLC, PMC, and TP programs
- Support electrical and PLC, PMC, and TP program related problems
- Design and modify electrical schematics for special machine modifications
- Develop and test optional tooling for work holding, fixturing, and material presentation
- Provide training and support to plant personnel on new equipment and processes.
