Job summary

Lester Building Systems, LLC is seeking a Manufacturing Associate in Clearbrook, VA to safely produce wooden columns and support continuous production. The role emphasizes pace, safety, and reliability in a small, family-oriented plant environment.

Responsibilities include material verification, keeping the line supplied, recording scrap, and participating in cycle counts and process improvements. The team values reliability, safety, and teamwork in a hands-on manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repetitively for 8-10 hours a day.
• Able to stand, walk, stoop and turn while handling materials.
• Forklift operation is a plus.
• Able to read a tape measure and mark product as required.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Must be a team player with good communication.

Responsibilities

• The column line operator is responsible for safely and efficiently producing wooden columns.
• Work safely and ensure others are aware of safety standards.
• Verify and document needs for raw materials.
• Coordinate with lumber material handler to prevent line downtime.
• Verify and record quantities of parts scrapped.
• Aid in cycle counts throughout the department.
• Support continuous improvement activities as assigned.
• Seek out plant supervisor for priorities/assignments.
• Keep work area clean during and at end of shift.
• Complete miscellaneous tasks as assigned in support of operations.
• Other duties as assigned.
