Position Overview

Manufacturing Associate – responsible for manual and automated production processes for the manufacturing and kitting of Parse’s research products. The role supports production goals while upholding safety and quality standards in a laboratory setting.

Responsibilities
  • Manufacture and kit goods in a laboratory environment, following written procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Escalate observations to area management when potential issues are identified to prevent downstream impacts.
  • Perform scheduled and as‑needed cleaning operations to sanitize work area, equipment, and lab supplies.
  • Verify all required equipment and materials are in the proper condition before beginning work.
  • Accurately complete all required documentation, including batch records, cleaning and maintenance logs, and initiating deviations or nonconformities.
  • Assist with maintaining inventory levels of finished goods, work‑in‑progress, and raw materials.
  • Support a safe work environment by following all PPE requirements and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Propose and perform revisions to procedures, batch records, work instructions, and training materials to improve workflow and reduce errors.
  • Collaborate with support functions such as Quality Control and Supply Chain on required manufacturing and testing activities.
  • Perform root cause analyses using techniques such as the 6Ms and 5‑whys.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, quality, delivery, cost, or operational efficiency.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field.
  • 0–2 years of hands‑on laboratory experience in a medical device, biotechnology, or academic setting.
  • Proficiency with standard productivity tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Curiosity and willingness to adopt emerging technologies, including AI tools, to support task/workflow automation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Job Conditions
  • Must be able to work in a laboratory environment while wearing PPE consistent with BSL‑1 or BSL‑2 laboratory requirements.
  • Standing for extended periods and occasionally carrying or lifting up to 30 pounds is required.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Hourly pay range: $27.50 – $30.50 USD. Exact compensation will be based on education, experience, and skills.
  • Medical, dental, vision, and prescription coverage beginning on the first day of the month following the start date. Parse covers 90% of employee premiums and 60% of dependents.
  • A 401(k) program with no waiting period to participate.
  • Basic life insurance and short‑ and long‑term disability coverage with 100% monthly premium coverage.
