Job summary

48forty Solutions is seeking a Pallet Repairer in Houston, TX. You will build and repair wooden pallets daily, earning a base hourly rate plus a piece rate. This is a 1st shift position, with hours 6:00am-2:30pm, and location at 4847 Blaffer St, Houston, TX 77026.

Responsibilities include assembling pallets with a nail gun, stacking for forklift movement, and maintaining safety and quality standards. High school diploma or GED required; lifting ~50 lbs is essential; overtime may be needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift wooden pallets up to ~50 lbs.
• Quick hands and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Overview

As a Pallet Repairer, you’ll get to build and repair wooden pallets from freshly cut or recycled wood on a daily basis to fulfill all of our customers’ needs! This is a piece rate position, so the more pallets you repair, the more money you make!

Hourly Pay:

$14.00/hr + Piece Rate

1st Shift: Monday - Friday 6:00am - 2:30pm

What You'll Do

• Receive wood from saw shop and piece together with nail gun along set stringers

• Stack finished product by hand for forklift operators to move to appropriate areas

• Ensure safety for yourself and others by following all procedures as set by the company

• Achieve high standards of quality while maintaining high volume of finished goods

What You'll Need

• High School Diploma or GED

• Ability to lift wooden pallets which weigh about 50 lbs. on a regular basis

• Previous lumber, warehouse, construction, carpentry, landscaping, roofing, experience highly preferred

• Quick hands, attention to detail, commitment to quality

• Ability to communicate effectively

• Ability to work overtime as needed
