Job summary

Astrix Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Associate for a 6-month contract with potential conversion. The role is based in Fremont, CA, with 2nd or 3rd shifts and entails routine assembly, packaging, and strict adherence to GMP, SOPs, and safety requirements.

You will perform batch records, operate with 5S principles, and work closely with production teams to ensure quality and on-time completion. Prior GMP experience and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma plus 1 year of GMP-regulated industry experience.
• Biotech manufacturing experience preferred.
• Detail-oriented with good communication and basic math skills.
• Ability to follow written procedures and cGMP.

Responsibilities

• Perform assembly, packaging, visual inspection, and material movement.
• Assist with equipment setup, changeovers, troubleshooting, and minor repairs.
• Gather and stock components, tools, and supplies for production.
• Complete batch records and ensure accurate documentation.
• Maintain clean, safe production areas and follow 5S and safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with team about production, equipment, or safety issues.

2nd Shift: Mon-Fri, 2:00PM-10:30PM
or
3rd Shift: Mon-Fri, 10:00PM-6:30AM
Performs routine assembly and packaging operations in a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility while following GMP, SOPs, safety, and documentation requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform assembly, packaging, visual inspection/filling, material movement, and production area organization.
• Assist with equipment setup, changeovers, troubleshooting, minor repairs/adjustments, and real-time problem resolution.
• Gather and stock components, tools, equipment, and supplies needed for production.
• Complete batch records, logbooks, and other required documentation accurately.
• Maintain clean, safe, organized production areas and follow 5S and safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with team members and communicate with production, equipment, or safety issues.

Qualifications

• High School diploma plus 1 year of GMP-regulated industry experience; Associate/Bachelor’s degree or biotechnology training preferred.
• Pharmaceutical/biotechnology manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
• Detail-oriented with strong communication, teamwork, basic math, and computer skills.
• Ability to follow written procedures and cGMP requirements and stand/walk for extended periods.
