Job summary

Sheridan is hiring a Manufacturing Associate for finishing/bindery on the nighttime shift in Ohio. You'll feed materials, operate high-speed bindery equipment with training provided, and work toward daily production goals.

No bindery experience necessary; we train you. Benefits include full-time, overtime opportunities, and a safety-focused, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience operating machinery in any industry (manufacturing, warehouse, trades).
• High School Diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience or training.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and work orders.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and maintenance manuals.
• Basic math skills and ability to use measuring devices.
• Good problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Read and understand job instructions and measurements.
• Reliability and teamwork; take pride in quality work.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

• Feed books/signatures into machine
• Pack books into cartons
• Safely move materials/books to and from workstation
• Perform hand operations as required
• Work as part of a team to hit daily production goals
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
• Follow safety procedures and help maintain a clean, organized workspace

What We're Looking For

No bindery experience? No problem - we'll train you.
We're looking for people who:

• Have experience operating machineryin any industry(manufacturing, warehouse, trades, etc.)
• High school Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as work orders, workplace, and safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Basic math skills, add subtract, and ability to use a measuring device
• Basic problem-solving skills
• Are mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic tools
• Can read basic job instructions and measurements
• Take pride in doing quality work
• Show up reliably and work well with a team

It's a plus if you have:

• Print, bindery, or finishing experience
• Experience setting up or adjusting production equipment

Physical & Work Environment

• On your feet for most of the shift
• Fast-paced, team-oriented production floor
• Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
