Job summary

Sheridan is hiring for a Manufacturing Associate - Finishing/Bindery on the Night shift in Ohio. No bindery experience? We'll train you to operate high-speed bindery equipment and work as part of a safety-conscious team to hit daily production goals.

You'll feed books and signatures, inspect finished products, and maintain a clean, organized workspace. We offer full-time hours, overtime, and comprehensive benefits after 30 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent education/experience
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as work orders, safety rules, and procedure manuals
• Basic math skills, including addition and subtraction, and use of measuring devices
• Basic problem-solving skills
• Mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic tools
• Read and follow job instructions and measurements
• Take pride in delivering quality work
• Show up reliably and work well with a team

What You'll Do

• Feed books/signatures into machine
• Pack books into cartons
• Safely move materials/books to and from workstation
• Perform hand operations as required

• Follow safety procedures and help maintain a clean, organized workspace

What We're Looking For

No bindery experience? No problem - we'll train you.
We're looking for people who:

• Have experience operating machineryin any industry(manufacturing, warehouse, trades, etc.)
• High school Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as work orders, workplace, and safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Basic math skills, add subtract, and ability to use a measuring device
• Basic problem-solving skills
• Are mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic tools
• Can read basic job instructions and measurements
• Take pride in doing quality work
• Show up reliably and work well with a team

It's a plus if you have:

• Print, bindery, or finishing experience
• Experience setting up or adjusting production equipment

Physical & Work Environment

• On your feet for most of the shift
• Fast-paced, team-oriented production floor
• Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
