Manufacturing Associate: Cabinet & Display Builder

Our client is a commercial woodworking company serving the greater Portland market since 1982. They specialize in custom commercial frameless display cabinets. Their client list includes Nike, Columbia, Pinnacle, Adidas, and more.

SUMMARY:

We are seeking individuals to join the Production department. The work is primarily low volume, highly customized, and client-specific. If you thrive in an environment that values your skills and abilities, this position is ideal for you.

SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday, 7am - 3pm
*Overtime required during busy summer months; flexibility with schedule is preferred.*

PAY: Up to $25/hr, depending on experience

DUTIES:

• Build commercial retail displays and custom exhibit fixtures, often under tight deadlines.
• Use manual tools including wood, metal, glass, acrylic, and plastics to complete product designs.
• Complete various projects that change daily and weekly based on deadlines.
• Manage time effectively to work on both short-term and long-term production runs.
• Stay focused in a fast-paced environment.
• Assemble cabinets and fabricate plastic laminates.
• Prepare products for finishing using a variety of tools and methods.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

• At least 1 year of general woodworking and construction experience.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools such as hammers, saws, and sanders.
• Ability to focus on tasks and complete assignments with minimal supervision.
