Job summary

Sheridan is hiring for a Manufacturing Associate – Finishing/Bindery on a daytime shift in Ohio. No bindery experience needed; we’ll train you to operate high-speed bindery equipment and contribute to a team that hits daily production goals. You’ll learn on the job, perform hand operations, and advance with safety and quality at the forefront.

You’ll feed, pack, and move materials, inspect finished products, and help maintain a clean, safe workspace while growing a long-term career in printing.

Qualifications

• No bindery experience? We’ll train you.
• Experience operating machinery in manufacturing, warehouse, or trades.
• High school Diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience; or equivalent.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures.
• Basic math skills; add/subtract; able to use a measuring device.
• Basic problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Pride in doing quality work.
• Reliable and able to work well with a team.

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For

No bindery experience? No problem—we’ll train you.

• Have experience operating machineryin any industry (manufacturing, warehouse, trades, etc.)
• High school Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as work orders, workplace, and safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Basic math skills, add subtract, and ability to use a measuring device
• Basic problem-solving skills
• Are mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic tools
• Can read basic job instructions and measurements
• Take pride in doing quality work
• Show up reliably and work well with a team

It’s a plus if you have:

• Print, bindery, or finishing experience
• Experience setting up or adjusting production equipment

Physical & Work Environment

• On your feet for most of the shift
• Fast-paced, team-oriented production floor
• Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
