Job summary

Sheridan is hiring for a Nighttime Manufacturing Associate in finishing/bindery. We train you to operate high-speed bindery equipment, feed, pack, and inspect products on a fast-paced production floor. Emphasis on quality, safety, and teamwork for a long-term manufacturing career.

The role is hands-on, with overtime potential and a strong focus on learning skilled equipment and achieving daily production goals.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
• Basic math and measuring skills.
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to learn and handle hands-on work.
• Demonstrated reliability and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Feed books/signatures into high-speed bindery machine.

What You'll Do

• Feed books/signatures into machine
• Pack books into cartons
• Safely move materials/books to and from workstation
• Perform hand operations as required
• Work as part of a team to hit daily production goals
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
• Follow safety procedures and help maintain a clean, organized workspace

What We're Looking For

No bindery experience? No problem - we'll train you.
We're looking for people who:

• Have experience operating machineryin any industry(manufacturing, warehouse, trades, etc.)
• High school Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as work orders, workplace, and safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Basic math skills, add subtract, and ability to use a measuring device
• Basic problem-solving skills
• Are mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic tools
• Can read basic job instructions and measurements
• Take pride in doing quality work
• Show up reliably and work well with a team

It's a plus if you have:

• Print, bindery, or finishing experience
• Experience setting up or adjusting production equipment

Physical & Work Environment

• On your feet for most of the shift
• Fast-paced, team-oriented production floor
• Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
