Job Description Summary

Operates Punch Press, Welder Machine Resist (Spot Weld), Bench and Milling Machine Electro (EDM) Machines.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Operate Punch Press, Welder Machine Resist (Spot Weld), Bench and Milling Machine Electro (EDM) Machines.
  • Work with materials such as castings and forgings.
  • Follow Lean Manufacturing guidelines including one-piece flow, standard work, 6S, set-up reduction, and wet process lines.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping to ensure safety and efficiency, including cleaning chips, managing coolant/machine fluids, and organizing the work area.
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • High School Diploma / GED or graduate of a Vocational High School or equivalent manufacturing program.
  • Minimum 6 months of machining experience with Lathes, Mills, Punch Press, Bench, Spot Weld, or EDM Machines.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions in English.
Desired Characteristics:
  • Ability to verify and inspect work using micrometers, gages, and surface plates.
  • Ability to operate multiple manual machines concurrently.
  • Effective team player in a cellular environment.
  • Self-directed with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent attendance and accuracy in paperwork.
  • Experience machining high-temp materials such as Inconel, stainless steel, titanium.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and aerospace standards.
  • Ability to follow written instructions precisely.
  • Optical Comparator experience.
Eligibility Requirement:

Ability to lift and manipulate fixtures up to 25 lbs. with or without accommodations. Access to U.S. export-controlled information is required; eligibility contingent upon obtaining necessary authorizations.
