Job summary

48forty Solutions is hiring an Automated Pallet Repairer in Jacksonville, FL. This is a daily-pay, piece-rate position with hourly pay of $15.00/hr for the first shift (Mon-Fri, 7:00am–3:30pm).

You will assemble pallets from fresh or recycled wood, stacking by hand for forklift movement and ensuring safety and quality. Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED, can lift ~50 lbs regularly, and bring lumber/warehouse or carpentry experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift heavy pallets (about 50 lbs) regularly.
• Previous lumber, warehouse, construction, carpentry, landscaping or roofing experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Receive wood from saw shop and assemble with nail gun along set stringers.
• Stack finished pallets by hand for forklift movement to designated areas.
• Follow safety procedures to protect yourself and others.
• Maintain high quality while producing a high volume of finished goods.

Overview

As an Automated Pallet Repairer, you’ll get to build and repair wooden pallets from freshly cut or recycled wood on a daily basis to fulfill all of our customers’ needs! This is a piece rate position, so the more pallets you repair, the more money you make!

Hourly Pay:

$15.00/hr.

Shift(s):

1st Shift: Monday-Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm

What You'll Do

• Receive wood from saw shop and piece together with nail gun along set stringers

• Stack finished product by hand for forklift operators to move to appropriate areas

• Ensure safety for yourself and others by following all procedures as set by the company

• Achieve high standards of quality while maintaining high volume of finished goods

What You'll Need

• High School Diploma or GED

• Ability to lift wooden pallets which weigh about 50 lbs. on a regular basis

• Previous lumber, warehouse, construction, carpentry, landscaping, roofing, experience highly preferred

• Quick hands, attention to detail, commitment to quality

• Ability to communicate effectively

• Ability to work overtime as needed
