Job summary

Golden Pet Manufacturing is seeking a Production Operator to join our Seward, NE team. You will follow safety and sanitation policies, support the production schedule, monitor quality, operate and maintain equipment, and cross-train across roles to support a high‑performing manufacturing environment.

The position requires physical capability to lift up to 60 pounds, work in a cooler environment, and thrive in a fast-paced setting with loud equipment.

Qualifications

• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
• Work well both individually and in a group.
• Able & willing to work all shifts/schedules as needed.
• Lift to 60 pounds, climb stairs, kneel, stoop, sit, walk extensively during long shifts.
• Work indoors in a cooled sanitary environment with temperatures 45 degrees or below.
• Frequently around loud production equipment.

Responsibilities

• Work safely, complying with safety, quality and sanitation policies and procedures and report potential hazards.
• Adhere to production schedule and collect data for delays relating to production schedules.
• Perform quality checks and monitor product quality throughout manufacturing.
• Operate equipment per SOP, set up and breakdown equipment, assist with basic troubleshooting.
• Cross-train to various positions within and possibly outside the department.
• Move products manually or with assisted devices, following food safety standards.
• Follow SOPs and 5S practices; maintain hygiene and housekeeping in assigned area.

We’re Looking For A(n):

Production Operator

Location: Seward, NE

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Work safely, complying with all safety, quality and sanitation policies and procedures and proactively identify and report potential safety hazards so they can be corrected.
• Adhere to production schedule as outlined by the supply chain team. Collect data for delays as they relate to production schedules
• Correctly carry out any required quality checks and constantly monitor the quality of the products through the manufacturing process.
• Operate all equipment as outlined in SOP, conduct set up and breakdown of equipment as required. Notify maintenance of mechanical problems and assist with basic troubleshooting.
• Cross-train to various positions within and possibly outside of the department.
• Move products manually or with assisted devices/equipment, following food safety and sanitary standards.
• Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures, carrying out duties following Good Manufacturing Practices and 5S practices, and being responsible for hygiene and housekeeping in a specified work area.

• This position will be required to work frequently indoors in a cooled sanitary environment with temperatures 45 degrees or below.
• Frequently around loud production equipment.
