Job summary

Oetiker is seeking a Manufacturing Associate for the 2nd shift (Evenings) to assemble automotive quick connectors and related parts. You will operate manual and automated processes, follow job procedures, and adhere to safety regulations.

This role requires attention to detail and basic computer/scan device use. The position offers a 2:00 pm–10:30 pm schedule, competitive pay, and opportunities for advancement within a global manufacturing group.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED plus 6-12 months related light manufacturing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assembles O-rings, clips, shipping plugs & caps into parts according to part procedure.
• Operates machines following procedures and safety rules.
• Reads and understands job procedures.
• Ensures compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental regulations and company policies.
• Performs leak testing as required by part procedure.
• Performs in-process parts inspection for quality and completeness.
• Trains manufacturing associates in procedures and processes as designated.
• Maintains daily production schedule attainment.
• Keeps work areas clean and 5S compliant.
• Supports machine setup and minor repairs as needed.

Manufacturing Associate - 2nd Shift (Evenings)

Salary Range: $38,000 - $42,000

Position Summary

Assembles automotive quick connectors using manual, semi-automated and fully automated processes by performing the following duties:

Essential Functions

• Assembles O-rings, clips, shipping plugs & caps into parts according to part procedure
• Understands the machine and its functions and operate according to the procedure, following all safety procedures
• Reads and understands job procedure
• Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety and Environmental regulations, as well as company policies
• Conducts leak testing as required by part procedure
• Conducts in-process parts inspection to ensure product quality and completeness
• As designated, trains manufacturing associates in procedures and processes
• Ensures daily production schedule is attained
• Knowledge of Leading2Lean
• Knowledge of SAP
• Maintains a clean and organized work area, in compliance with 5S requirements
• Performs and understands importance of processes in place to ensure machine is running accurately (such as running duds and/or use of gauges)
• Keeps machines running with minimal downtime
• Performs basic repair and setup

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic knowledge of computers and handheld scanners, as well as excellent attention to detail

Education / Experience

• High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) plus 6-12 months related light manufacturing experience required

This is a 2nd shift position. Regular hours are 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm (Monday to Friday)
