Job summary

Cardinal Health, Inc. is seeking a production associate to operate light industrial semi-automated equipment used to manufacture medical devices. You will perform safety checks, run machinery, and document quality and production data on a daily basis.

The role requires adherence to SOPs, basic reading of shop orders, and teamwork on a Monday–Thursday schedule with early shifts. Training is provided; prior manufacturing experience is not required.

Qualifications

• We are open to candidates with little to no manufacturing experience. All training is provided starting your first day!
• Ability to read and follow shop order instructions
• 0–1 year previous work experience, preferred

Responsibilities

• Set up and run light industrial semi-automated equipment to make a variety of medical devices.
• Operate in-house machines safely with emergency stops and report safety concerns.
• Conduct quality checks on produced product to ensure no visible defects.
• Document information regarding product quality and machine performance.
• Maintain machines and troubleshoot as needed.
• Visually inspect in-process/finished material and report malfunctions.
• Move bags/totes/boxes, label, weigh, count, and palletize as needed.
• Maintain production documentation and cleaning/safety checklists in the system.
• Perform packaging on semi-automated equipment and assemble goods on the line.

Shift: Monday – Thursday, 5:00am – 3:30pm

Responsibilities

• Set up and run light industrial semi-automated equipment to make a variety of medical devices.
• Operate in-house machines safely – identify emergency stops and stop the process when safety issues are identified, and report safety concerns.
• Conduct quality checks on the produced product to ensure there are no visible defects.
• Document applicable information regarding product quality and machine performance.
• Maintain machines and starts general trouble shooting if needed.
• Visually inspect in-process/finished material while operating – inform designated teammates of any machine malfunction or defective product.
• Start machines, observe for correct operation, and adjust as needed.
• Move empty and full bags/totes/boxes to and from the machine, add labels/weigh product/verify count/add to box/insert into shipper as needed, and stack onto pallet.
• Maintain documentation, production information, cleaning documentation, and safety check documentation in the company system.
• Practice department’s medical manufacturing and housekeeping procedures and complete cleaning verification checklists as required.
• Perform packaging operation off a variety of semi-automated packaging equipment.
• Assemble goods on production line.

Qualifications
