Job description

Shift:

Monday-Friday (Defib), 6:30am-3:00pm

What Assembly contributes to Cardinal Health

Manufacturing is responsible for the cost of production and maintenance activities, including process improvement, supply chain management, quality assurance, employee safety and engagement, and environmental commitment.

Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production to assemble component parts into assemblies, sub-assemblies, or completed units, using standard operating procedures. May conduct quality inspections on the processing line in accordance with quality specifications.

Responsibilities
  • Sets up and operates production equipment according to current manufacturing practices and SOPs.
  • Measures and records data related to operating and manufacturing equipment.
  • Verifies outputs in the manufacturing process to ensure quality and quantity standards are met.
  • Inspects components for debris or other potential defects and reports issues to management and the quality team.
  • Performs duties in compliance with all safety rules and regulations required by the company, local, state, and federal laws.
  • Lifts, pushes, pulls, and moves up to 30 lbs as needed.
  • Works overtime as required.
Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of experience preferred.
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.

  • Applies acquired knowledge and skills to complete standard tasks.
  • Learn and apply new information and methods in the assigned area.
  • Maintains necessary licenses, training, and certifications.
  • Works on routine assignments with some problem resolution.
  • Follows clearly defined SOPs and/or scientific methods.
  • Adheres to all quality guidelines.
  • Works under moderate supervision.
  • Regularly reviews output with work lead or supervisor.
  • Refers complex or unusual problems to supervisor.
Pay and Benefits

Pay rate: $17.90 per hour
