Job summary

Kelly Services in Lancaster, NY seeks a Manufacturing Associate to support specialty contact lens production on a made-to-order platform. This entry-level role includes comprehensive training and exposure to precision equipment in a collaborative production environment.

You will operate lens manufacturing and lathing equipment, perform debocking, inspection, packaging, and shipping, maintain traceability, and report production data while adhering to SOPs and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent).
• Basic computer skills with good verbal and written communication.
• Strong math skills are a plus.
• Good hand-eye coordination for handling small parts.
• Medical device manufacturing experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate computerized contact lens manufacturing and lathing equipment, manual polishing machines, and optical blocking equipment.
• Perform lens deblocking, product inspection, packaging, and shipping.
• Maintain accurate lens identification and traceability throughout all process steps.
• Record and report production data and observations.
• Follow SOPs, quality standards and government regulations.
• Maintain clean, organized workstations and follow safety practices.
• Coordinate daily tasks with supervisors and team members.
• Use enterprise production systems to manage orders and workflow.
• Handle incoming materials, replenish supplies, and assist with equipment maintenance.
• Participate in periodic business-related projects and support continuous production improvement.
• Occasionally work overtime as required.

Pay rate: $17.50/hr
