Job summary

Creation Technologies is seeking an Assistant Supervisor, Manufacturing to lead a production team and ensure safety, quality, delivery and productivity targets are met. This execution-focused role participates in hands-on activities to maintain workflow and meet operational demands.

Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, you will coach operators, manage staffing and coordinate with engineering, quality and maintenance to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Education: post-secondary diploma or degree in manufacturing, operations, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience: 2–3 years in manufacturing with prior leadership or supervisory responsibility.
• Strong knowledge of production workflows, KPIs, labor planning, and root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Support production team execution to achieve safety, quality, delivery and productivity targets.
• Perform hands-on production activities as needed to maintain workflow.
• Reinforce adherence to standards to ensure compliant production.
• Support staffing, output, and on-time delivery within the area or shift.
• Resolve moderately complex production and personnel issues to maintain daily operations.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, supply chain, PM, and maintenance to resolve challenges.
• Communicate production performance and improvement plans to leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Provide day-to-day direction, coaching, and performance feedback to employees.
• Support labor utilization, overtime control, and reduction of scrap or rework.
• Other duties as assigned

POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Assistant Supervisor, Manufacturing, supports production operations by leading a team to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity targets while ensuring adherence to operational and quality standards. This role is more execution-focused and actively supports and performs hands-on production activities as needed to meet operational demands. The position reports to Manufacturing Manager or Director.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:

• Support production team execution to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity cost targets.
• Perform hands-on production activities as needed to maintain workflow and meet operational demands.
• Reinforce adherence to operational and quality standards to ensure compliant production.
• Support management of staffing, output, and on-time delivery within the assigned production area or shift.
• Resolve moderately complex production and personnel issues to maintain daily operations.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, supply chain, Program Management, and maintenance to resolve operational challenges.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Required Experience

• Education: Post-secondary diploma or degree in manufacturing, operations, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience: 2–3 years of manufacturing experience with prior leadership or supervisory responsibility.
• Strong knowledge of production workflows, KPIs, labor planning, and root cause analysis.
• Proficiency in manufacturing systems, KPI tracking, data analysis, and problem-solving tools.

Working Conditions

The working environment is generally clean; however, this position may be exposed to occasional dust, metals/solder occasional exposure to high noise levels from operating machines or physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts. The employee must wear designated PPE and/or electrostatic dissipative protection where required. Otherwise, office/business casual attire, consistent with site specific safety guidelines is appropriate.
