FUNCTION: Assistant Supervisor, Manufacturing Manufacturing POSITION

DESCRIPTION: The Assistant Supervisor, Manufacturing, supports production operations by leading a team to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity targets while ensuring adherence to operational and quality standards. This role is more execution-focused and actively supports and performs hands-on production activities as needed to meet operational demands. The position reports to Manufacturing Manager or Director.

REPORTING STRUCTURE: Supervisor, Manager or Director

DIRECT REPORTS (if applicable): Production employees within the assigned area or shift

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:

• Support production team execution to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity cost targets.
• Perform hands-on production activities as needed to maintain workflow and meet operational demands.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Required Experience Education: Post-secondary diploma or degree in manufacturing, operations, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Experience: 2-3 years of manufacturing experience with prior leadership or supervisory responsibility.

Skills Required:

• Strong knowledge of production workflows, KPIs, labor planning, and root cause analysis.
• Proficiency in manufacturing systems, KPI tracking, data analysis, and problem-solving tools.
• Ability to apply technical knowledge to manage daily performance and corrective actions.
• Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and reporting.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS Physical and/or Mental Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel office equipment, objects, tools, or controls.

The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; and occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 5 pounds, and occasionally up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, mid-range vision, and the ability to adjust focus to facilitate using computer.

Working Conditions:

The working environment is generally clean; however, this position may be exposed to occasional dust, metals/solder occasional exposure to high noise levels from operating machines or physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts. Otherwise, office/business casual attire, consistent with site specific safety guidelines is appropriate.
