Sappi is seeking an Assistant Accountant to maintain accurate receipting of raw materials, support inventory reconciliations, and record accounting transactions to meet financial deadlines. The role includes SAP data entry from weighbridge, cost centre allocations, stock counts, and assisting with GL and tax schedules.

Ideal candidates hold a BCom in Accounting/Costing with at least 2 years in manufacturing, and are prepared to work within a global organisation with ongoing development

Qualifikationen

• BCom in Accounting/Costing or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years manufacturing experience.

Aufgaben

• Upload raw material data from weighbridge into SAP.
• Issue of certain raw materials not on BOMs to cost centres is not applicable here.
• Timber balancing (Saiccor weighbridge vs Forests calculations) is not relevant to this role.
• Prepare weekly raw materials usage reports for relevant stakeholders.
• Forward weighbridge reports on waste/raw materials as required.
• Manage petty cash.
• Participate in Raw Materials and Finished goods stock counts.
• Prepare monthly General Ledger, Customer and Vendor Reconciliations.
• Reconciliation and confirmation of foreign inter-company balances.
• Prepare tax pack schedules for the Tax department.
• Assist with capex-related transactions.
