Job summary

WATT Fuel Cell is seeking a Manufacturing Assistant for our Mount Pleasant, PA facility. This full-time, on-site role supports the manufacturing team with material handling, basic assembly, quality checks, and documentation to ensure smooth production flows.

No prior manufacturing experience is required, but hands-on, dependable, and curious candidates who are willing to learn will thrive. Training will be provided to get you up to speed and integrated with the team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous manufacturing, production, assembly, warehouse, or other hands-on experience is a plus, but not required.
• We're willing to train someone who brings the right attitude, work ethic, and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day manufacturing, production, and basic assembly activities.
• Prepare, stage, organize, and move materials, components, tools, and supplies for production.
• Help set up workstations, equipment, and materials.
• Perform basic visual inspections and quality checks.
• Package, label, organize, and move work-in-process and finished products.
• Complete production records, checklists, labels, and other required documentation.
• Keep production areas clean, organized, stocked, and ready to work.
• Identify and communicate material shortages, quality concerns, or equipment issues.
• Follow work instructions, SOPs, quality standards, PPE requirements, and safety procedures.
• Participate in training and cross-training to learn new processes and expand your skills.
• Work alongside Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and other teams to keep production moving.

As a Manufacturing Assistant , you'll work alongside our Manufacturing Technicians and production team to help keep materials, components, and work moving through the manufacturing process. You'll get hands-on experience with production, assembly, quality, and manufacturing operations while learning how our products are built from the ground up.

Manufacturing experience is a plus, but it isn't required. If you're dependable, detail-oriented, willing to learn, and comfortable jumping in wherever the team needs you, we want to hear from you.

What You'll Do

Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

What to Expect

This is an active, hands-on manufacturing role. You'll spend much of the day standing or walking and regularly handling materials, components, tools, and equipment. The position may involve bending, reaching, repetitive motions, and safely lifting or moving materials associated with your work.

You'll work around manufacturing equipment and may be required to wear PPE and cleanroom garments depending on your assignment.
