Key job responsibilities

Additional Requirements:

  • Willing to work all shifts, overtime and weekends as needed. Estimated shift time: 2nd shift Wed-Sat 4 / 10s (5:00 pm - 3:30 am). Shifts may vary, depending on program needs
  • Able to stand for long periods of time and perform repetitive assembly operations
  • Able to climb and down ladders, work in tight spaces, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching may be required to perform the functions of this position
  • Able to lift at least 25 lbs. unassisted

Candidates must be 18 years or older with the ability to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines.

The starting pay for this role in Washington State is up to $33.50/hour and employees are eligible for incremental raises based on tenure. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits are provided. This information is provided per the Washington State Pay Transparency Act. Base pay information is based on market location.

A day in the life

The Integration Technician II is responsible for the assembly of Amazon Leo satellites. You will work closely with engineering, test, quality and operations teams to deliver Amazon Leo production hardware to final integration. Your day will involve hands- on responsibilities such as mechanical assembly, avionics integration, rigging, harnessing connections, fiber optic splicing and testing, requiring attention to detail, precision and adaptability. You’ll ensure that every satellite build meets the highest standards of quality, workmanship, and safety, while maintaining strict timelines to support launch schedules.

About the team

Our MYPY Team builds critical electronic panels and antennas that allow satellites to communicate with Earth. These components transmit data and receive commands from ground stations - essential functions for any satellite mission.

We are a collaborative team working across four shifts, partnering closely with the final integration team who installs our completed panels into satellites. Our goal is to deliver exceptional quality, efficiency, and execution for our customers by creating stable workflows and fostering positive team engagement.

When you join this team, you'll work on various stages of panel manufacturing—from starting a new panel on the production line to delivering finished components to the integration team. You'll have opportunities to develop expertise across the entire manufacturing process while directly contributing to our operational excellence.

Basic Qualifications
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years in a high traceability manufacturing environment, or relevant trade school certification
  • 1+ years using hand tools and/or precision measuring instruments (i.e., Calipers, multi-meters, torque wrenches)
  • 1+ years working with test tools and test methods that adequately validate the system
  • Experience reading, interpreting and working from engineering documentation and/or drawings
Preferred Qualifications
  • Aircraft & Powerplant (A&P) certification/license
  • CFOT certification or equivalent experience
  • Airman or Avionic certification or equivalent experience
  • ASE certification or equivalent experience
  • Experience in fast-paced production environment with flight hardware
  • Experience working with FOD, ESD sensitive hardware and clean room requirements
  • Experience working with Electro-Mechanical Assembly, Final Integration, Fiber Optics/Optical and/or Harness Integration
  • Ability to rapidly change roles/responsibilities while working in a high-paced, challenging work environment

The starting pay for this position is listed below, including the base pay rate plus the highest available shift differential which applies depending on the shift you select.
