Job summary

Dover Corp in Keosauqua, IA is seeking an Assembler II - Kitting to support production by coordinating and expediting materials across departments on the 3rd shift.

You will read job orders and bills of materials, arrange delivery and assembly of supplies, move totes, verify parts, and maintain a clean, safe work area while following all safety requirements and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and schematic drawings.
• Proficiency with handheld tools and measuring devices.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Read and comprehend a job order and bill of materials.
• Arrange for delivery, assembly, or distribution of supplies or parts to expedite flow of materials to meet production schedules.
• Move totes to tables, check completion of parts, move parts to shelves, and copy paperwork.
• Confers with department supervisors or other personnel to assess progress and discuss needed changes.
• Identify maintenance needed on equipment and tooling.
• Work at different workstations as production needs require.
• Maintain the work area in a clean, safe, and orderly manner.
• Use proper safety equipment and apparel required for each operation on individual’s product line or work cell.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What we are looking for:

Kitting is responsible for coordinating and expediting the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to production schedules.

What you'll be responsible for in this role:

• Read and comprehend a job order and bill of materials
• Arrange for delivery, assembly, or distribution of supplies or parts to expedite flow of materials to meet production schedules
• Move totes to tables, checking to ensure all parts are complete, moving parts to shelves, and making copies of paperwork
• Confers with department supervisors or other personnel to assess progress and discuss needed changes
• Identify maintenance needed on equipment and tooling
• Work at different workstations as production needs require
• Maintain the work area in a clean, safe, and orderly manner
• Use proper safety equipment and apparel required for each operation on individual's product line or work cell
• Perform other duties as assigned
