Job summary

Hillphoenix is seeking an Assembler II – Sub Assembly to join our Operations team on the 1st shift. You will read job orders and BOMs, identify parts and the correct placement on the product, and assemble components using hand or power tools. You’ll measure with rulers and gauges, fasten parts, and ensure clean, safe work areas for quality product lines.

The role emphasizes teamwork, rapid learning, hands-on problem solving, and clear communication to meet production goals and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Read and comprehend a job order and bill of materials.
• Identify parts and their placement on the product line.

• Perform assembly using hand or power tools.

• Read rulers, tape measures, squares, and measuring instruments.
• Fasten parts with bolts, screws, rivets or fasteners.
• Identify maintenance needs on equipment and tooling.
• Use electrical testing equipment like dielectric testers or voltage meters.
• Work at different stations as production needs require.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
• Use safety equipment and apparel required for each operation.

What We Are Looking For

Sub Assembly works as part of a team having responsibility for assembling different components of product lines.

What You’ll Be Responsible For In This Role

• Read and comprehend a job order and bill of materials
• Identify parts used on their assigned product line, and their placement location on the product itself
• Identify power and hand tools used on their assigned product line
• Performs any assembly-type function, using hand or power tools
• Identify parts and part descriptions using work order information, like bill of materials
• Utilize appropriate information given on material gauging and dimensioning
• Read rulers, tape measurers, metal squares, and other measuring instruments
• Fasten parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or fasteners
• Identify maintenance needed on equipment and tooling
• Utilize electrical testing equipment like dielectric testing or voltage meters
• Work at different workstations as production needs require
• Maintain the work area in a clean, safe, and orderly manner
• Use proper safety equipment and apparel required for each operation on individual’s product line or work cell
• Perform other duties as assigned
