Manufacturing Assembler - Tremont Warehouse

Join to apply for the Manufacturing Assembler - Tremont Warehouse role at Goodwill of Central & Southern Indiana.

This position is located on the west side of downtown Indianapolis at 413 N Tremont St, Indianapolis, IN 46222. The starting wage is $11 per hour, with a full benefits package (details below).

Job Responsibilities

• Perform repetitive bench or line assembly operations to produce products according to written and verbal instructions.
• Work as a team member to assemble products as instructed by Team Leader/ERDS.
• Cross-train at different workstations as needed, following safety and quality requirements, and adhering to company policies.
• Utilize tools, tooling setups, and fixtures to enhance productivity.
• Meet all quality check requirements.
• Complete complex production assembly steps.
• Use advanced power tools such as rivet guns, tooling setups, and fixtures.
• Perform machine setup and troubleshooting.

Required Competencies

• No degree or credential requirements. Candidates should demonstrate capability and relate prior experiences.
• Basic labor skills: capable of following simple instructions and handling standardized situations.

Preferred Competencies

• Communication Skills: able to read and understand simple words and communicate effectively in speech and writing.
• Mathematical Skills: able to perform basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, especially with money and measurements.

Other Requirements

• Light to moderate physical activity: occasional use of hands, reaching, stooping, and lifting up to 10 pounds.
• Visual acuity: ability to adjust focus.
• Minimum age: 18 years.
