Job summary

Corning is seeking a Digital & IT Intern, Analyst, Manufacturing AI/ML for Summer 2027 in Charlotte, NC. The role provides hands-on experience with enterprise-scale datasets, cloud data platforms, data pipelines, dashboards, and AI/ML initiatives.

You will work on developing ETL pipelines, dashboards, and data foundations to enable industrial analytics and machine learning while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Student pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
• Understanding of databases, data structures, problem-solving techniques, communication, and teamwork.
• Must be available for 10 weeks during Summer 2027 (May-August 2027) with a graduation date of December 2027 or later
• Be interested in working for Corning, Inc after graduation, if presented with a full-time job opportunity.
• Be willing to work at the posted job location

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data pipelines using Python, SQL, and PySpark.
• Extract, transform, validate, and prepare data for analytics and reporting.
• Support Databricks and cloud-based data engineering projects.
• Build dashboards and data visualizations to communicate insights.
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders.
• Document solutions and present project results at the end of the internship.
