Job summary

S&S Cycle is seeking an Accountant to support the Accounting/Finance team in La Crosse, WI. The role involves journal entries, reconciliations, invoice processing, and data entry, contributing to payroll and month/year-end closings in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
2-4 years of experience in related accounting areas, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Basic understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
Experience with Epicor ERP is a plus.
Proficiency with Word, Excel, and Google Suite.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
Able to relate to people at all levels of the organization.
Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Understand and adhere to accounting goals, objectives, and strategy.
Process invoices in Medius and enter data in the ERP system.
Review invoices, credit memos, check requests, and expense reports for approval and coding.
Prepare weekly A/P check proposals for Director of Finance and/or Controller.
Process weekly check runs, including ACH and wire payments.
Maintain vendor files and follow up on open PO receipts.
Ensure integrity of the general ledger and balance sheet analyses.
Assist with monthly closings and payroll reporting as needed.
Identify process improvements and propose solutions.
