Connect Search is seeking an Accountant in Port Washington to support month-end close, financial reporting, and process improvements within a manufacturing setting.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of accounting experience, strong knowledge of GAAP, proficiency in Excel and ERP systems, and the ability to work cross-functionally with the operations team. This role offers growth opportunities and exposure to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of general accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and month end closing activities.
• Perform monthly account reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Assist with timely financial reports (monthly, quarterly, and annual).
• Support financial statement preparation and management reporting.
• Assist with cost accounting, inventory accounting, and manufacturing reporting.
• Analyze production and operational costs to identify trends and improvements.
• Support inventory reconciliations and physical inventories.
• Improve accounts payable/receivable processes with the team.
• Participate in ERP enhancements and automation projects.
• Document and improve accounting procedures and internal controls.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Assist with cash flow forecasting and liquidity management.
• Provide financial analysis and reporting for decision making.
• Assist with annual audits and coordination with external auditors.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
