Job summary

Samaritan's Purse in Boone, NC is seeking a Manufactured Home Construction Worker to join the U.S. Rebuild team in Western North Carolina.

This full-time role involves constructing and repairing homes, coordinating with supervisors, and leading volunteers in a faith-driven humanitarian effort. You will participate in safety training, ensure quality workmanship, and collaborate with subcontractors as needed.

Qualifications

• One-year certificate from college or technical school and six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to obtain a driver’s medical card (required)
• Trade certifications (electrical, plumbing, roofing, framing, and finish carpentry) (preferred)
• Class A Commercial Driver's License (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Construct and/or repair homes in the affected area in collaboration with the Project Superintendent, Construction Foremen, and Logistics Coordinators.
• Lead volunteers and coordinate with other construction workers and subcontractors to ensure high-quality workmanship.
• Provide safety and general project training for team members at the job site and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Other duties as assigned

In the role of Manufactured Home Construction Worker, you will have the opportunity to:

• Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ
• Works jointly with the Project Superintendent, Construction Foremen, and Logistics Coordinators to construct and/or repair homes in the affected area.
• Works with and leads volunteers. Works with other construction workers and hired subcontractors when needed, ensuring quality of each project is maintained to the highest possible standard.
• Provides safety training and general project training for team members at the job site. Assures all work is done according to safety standards.
• Other duties as assigned
