Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Manual Digging Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in various excavation and construction projects, using hand tools to dig trenches, ditches, and foundations while ensuring safety and efficiency. This role involves physical labor, teamwork, and a strong commitment to following safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform manual digging using hand tools such as shovels, picks, and trowels.
Assist in the preparation and clearing of job sites for excavation and construction.
Load and unload materials, equipment, and tools as needed.
Work closely with supervisors and other laborers to follow project plans and specifications.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to all safety guidelines and practices.
Monitor and report any unsafe conditions or hazards on the job site.
Participate in daily briefings and follow instructions to complete tasks effectively.
Operate basic machinery, such as a jackhammer or compactor, when trained and required.
Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors to support project completion.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in construction or manual labor preferred but not required.
Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
Knowledge of basic excavation and construction principles is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and a focus on safety practices.
