Job summary

OpenKrill is seeking a Manual QA Engineer to own quality across our international web social networking platform, spanning user-facing product and the B2B side. You won't just run regressions; you will focus on new features, API and database testing, and interpreting automation results with AQA engineers to shorten time to production for a platform used by millions in Tier-1 markets.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of software testing experience.
• Understanding of testing principles and methodologies.
• Hands-on web testing and cross-browser testing.
• Experience with API testing and Postman.
• Experience with SQL databases.
• Experience testing admin panels.
• Experience with test cases, checklists, and bug reports.
• Familiarity with Scrum and SDLC.
• Using AI tools in testing workflows.
• Fluent English.

Job description

We are looking for a Manual QA Engineer to own quality on our international web social networking platform, working across both the user-facing product and its B2B side. You will not spend your days on endless regression runs: core functionality is already covered by automation, so your focus is on new features, backend testing through APIs and databases, and analysing automation results together with AQA engineers. There is a steady flow of new and non-trivial tasks, and your work directly shortens the path from idea to production for a product used by around a million people in Tier-1 markets.

In this role, you will

• Perform functional and non-functional testing of the web product and its B2B side
• Test new and updated functionality from requirements to release sign-off
• Test backend logic via API (Postman) and databases (SQL)
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and report bugs
• Create and maintain test documentation: test cases, checklists, and bug reports
• Collaborate with developers, designers, and product managers to deliver quality releases faster

It's all about you

• 2+ years of experience in software testing
• Solid understanding of testing principles: types of testing, methodologies, and test design techniques
• Hands-on experience in web testing, including cross-browser testing
• Knowledge of client-server architecture and experience in API testing (Postman)
• Experience working with databases (SQL)
• Experience testing internal products such as admin panels
• Experience creating and working with test cases, checklists, and bug reports
• Experience with Scrum and the full software development lifecycle
• Using AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot) in your day-to-day testing workflows
• Intermediate English or higher
• Analytical thinking, attention to detail, and ownership of your results

Would be a plus

• Experience with test management and collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence, or similar)
