Job summary

Aquiva is seeking a manual QA Analyst to join an Agile delivery team, close to the people writing the stories and the people writing the code. You will read user stories before they are built and find what is missing in them, write the test cases that prove the functionality does what the story says, and run those cases by hand.

When something breaks, you are the person who explains it clearly enough that a developer can act on it without a second conversation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on manual QA experience.
• Proven experience testing APIs and web-based applications.
• Basic programming skills.
• Written English for the wider team; daily work in Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Analyze user stories for inaccuracies or missing details before development starts.
• Write comprehensive test cases for user stories.
• Run test cases to verify functionality matches the story.
• Work inside a delivery team through its full cycle with Product Owner and developers.
• Communicate issues to developers early with enough detail to act on.
