Manual Machinist Role Summary:

Set up and operate various machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments. This includes fabricating, modifying, or repairing mechanical instruments and machine parts, applying knowledge of mechanics, mathematics, and machining procedures. Experience with manual lathe is required.

Schedule:

This is a first shift opportunity: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, with overtime as needed.

Responsibilities & Requirements:

• Operate manual lathe machines and equipment, performing routine tasks.
• Follow established processes for operational management.
• Assist in maintaining and repairing equipment.
• Adhere to health, safety, and environmental guidelines.
• Ensure work quality and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, dial indicators, and depth gauges.
• Read and interpret blueprints and geometric tolerances.
• Communicate courteously with team members.
• Understand and follow company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Effective verbal communication skills.
• Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks.
• Knowledge of safety systems and practices.
• At least 2 years of machining experience with manual lathes and milling machines.
• High school diploma or GED, with 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• Welding experience is a plus.
