Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate manual milling machines, lathes, grinders, and other machine tools.
  • Operate conventional mills, lathes, drill presses, saws, and grinders.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and work instructions.
  • Select appropriate tools, fixtures, speeds, and feeds for accurate machining.
  • Perform in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMMs, etc.
  • Adjust machine settings to maintain tolerances and quality.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues including tool wear and programming errors.
  • Maintain production records and equipment logs.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and safety compliance.

Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Set up and operate manual milling machines, lathes, grinders, and other machine tools.
  • Operate conventional mills, lathes, drill presses, saws, and grinders
  • Work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to create production tooling
  • Complete set-ups and operate equipment with minimal supervisions/assistance
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, GD&T, and work instructions.
  • Select appropriate tools, fixtures, speeds, and feeds for efficient and accurate machining.
  • Perform in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMMs, and other measuring devices.
  • Adjust machine settings to maintain tolerances and meet quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues, including tool wear, material inconsistencies, and programming errors.
  • Maintain accurate production records, including job travelers, inspection reports, and equipment logs.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure safe, reliable operation.
  • Work collaboratively with engineering, quality, and production teams to improve processes.
  • Comply with all safety standards, company policies, and ISO/AS quality requirements.

    Required

    • High school diploma or equivalent
