Job summary

Aircraft Technology, Inc. is seeking a Manual Machinist I to support our production of aviation components. The role performs basic machining on manual equipment and assists with machine setups under supervision to ensure parts meet dimensional and quality specifications.

You will measure finished workpieces with precision instruments, replace worn tools, and adjust speeds and feeds as needed while maintaining a safe, organized work area. Other duties may be assigned as required.

Qualifications

• Performs basic machining operations on manual machines.
• Under supervision, assists with machine setups.
• Maintains quality and dimensional accuracy of components.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual machines such as engine lathes, mills, grinders, or similar equipment.
• Perform basic machine setups under supervision.
• Mount, align, and secure tools, fixtures, and workpieces on machines.
• Measure finished workpieces using precision measuring instruments.
• Replace worn cutting tools and adjust speeds and feeds as required.
• Stop machines to remove finished parts or change tooling and setups.
• Follow router instructions and work instructions for machining operations.
• Perform deburring and finishing operations.
• Maintain machines, tooling, and work area organization.
• Move materials, tools, and fixtures as required to support production flow.
• Follow safety procedures and quality standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
